Dressage World Championships 2022 Format

 

The first two days sees all the riders compete in the Grand Prix with the total of the best three scores from each nation deciding the medals in the team competition.

 

It's not just about the medals though with the top six nations securing entry to the team event at Paris 2024. The top 30 from the Grand Prix make it through to the Grand Prix Special with the first individual medals awarded based on these scores.

 

The top 15 in the Grand Prix Special go through to the most difficult and prestigious test, the Grand Prix Freestyle to Music (often shortened to Grand Prix Freestyle), where the riders perform their own choreography although it must still contain certain mandatory movements.

 

There are two individual medal events at the World Championships as opposed to just one at the Olympic Games. The competition format at Tokyo 2020 was based solely on the Grand Prix Freestyle for which there were 18 qualifiers (from the Grand Prix Special).

Olympic Equestrian Dressage individual Events

Olympic equestrian dressage in individual events at the 2012 Olympic Games in London was held at Greenwich Park from 2 to 9 August. Great Britain's Charlotte Dujardin won the gold medal and Laura Bechtolsheimer the bronze. The silver was won by Adelinde Cornelissen of the Netherlands. The team and individual dressage competitions used the same results. Dressage had three phases, with the last being used only for the individual event. The first phase was the Grand Prix. Individuals advanced to the second phase, the Grand Prix Special, if they were on one of the top seven teams or were one of the top 11 remaining competitors. The top 18 competitors in the Grand Prix Special advanced to the final phase, the Grand Prix Freestyle. The results of that phase produced final results.

Charlotte Dujardin of Great Britain competed with horse Valegro is the Gold medal winner in Dressage Individual Events.

Adelinde Cornelissen of Netherlands participated with horse Parzival is the silver medal winner in Dressage Individual Events.

Laura Bechtolsheimer of Great Britain comped in Equestrain individual events with horse Minstral Hojris in Dressage events and win Bronze medal.

Olympic Equestrian Dressage Team Events 2012

The Olympic equestrian Dressage events at the 2012 Olympic Games in London are being held at Greenwich Park. The team dressage in equestrian at the 2012 Olympic Games in London was held at Greenwich Park from 2 to 7 August. The Great Britain team consisting of Carl Hester, Laura Bechtolsheimer and Charlotte Dujardin won the gold medal. Germany won silver and the Netherlands took bronze. Jessica Werndl in Equestrian Dressage

Jessica Werndl was born on 16 February 1986 in Germany. Jessica Werndl was a German Equestrian Dressage Rider Competed in several Equestrian Dressage Events and Winning Many Medals for her Country. 

Jessica’s brother Benjamin, who is almost two years older than her, celebrated his first successes in the German pony cadre. Victoria Max Theurer in Equestrian Dressage
